COLORFIELD PAINTING

La " peinture en champ de couleur " est née à New York dans les années 1940 et1950 et s'est développée en Amérique du Nord
Son style développe de grands aplats de couleurs brutes , unies et vives créant des plans continus . L'accent est mis sur la constance de forme et de processus . " La couleur est libérée du contexte objectif et devient le sujet lui-même "
La profondeur est supprimée puisque les aplats s'étendent sur un plan et n'admettent pas la perspective
